morning sickness and pageant time!

"TAKE 2 CRACKERS AND CALL ME IN THE MORNING"

I must say and I do not mean to whine. This morning sickness (a.k.a 24/7 sickness) has just about done me in. My poor house is suffering, Dawson & Carter have watched way too many hours of babysitting t.v. and I haven't cooked a meal in over 3 weeks. I wish I was joking or exaggerating. But, alas, I'm not. I know I asked for it...but this is getting ridiculous. On a good day, I'm lucky to keep one meal down...on a bad day...don't ask. Thank goodness Jason is the husband of the year!! He has really stepped up as Mr. Mom and has cleaned, folded laundry and even cooked! The boys actually prefer his version of Mac-n-Cheese over mine!  I'm so thankful to have him. However, I'm ready to start getting back to doing all of those things...I never thought I'd miss the day when I had to cook dinner. :( My previous pregnancies allowed this joyous puking power to last for 16-20 weeks...I'm just praying (and praying and praying) it goes away soon!

On a better note! I'm headed to sunny Florida on the 23rd to cheer on my girl! Miss America's Outstanding Teen begins on the 24th of August and I AM SO EXCITED to watch Marisa represent Utah! She is absolutely incredible and she has worked SO HARD! Her talent is amazing, her presence is unmatched and she has the attitude of a champion! GO UTAH!

Our little patient

Dawson had is second eye muscle surgery yesterday. His first surgery was in May of 2009- and we knew about 4 months after the procedure, that it didn't work. So back again he went. This time was a little more nerve racking for Jason and I. After knowing what to expect from the first time, I was not looking forward to the recovery process and having to see my little boy in so much discomfort.
We arrived early at the hospital and only waited for about an hour before he was taken back to the O.R. The nurses at Utah Valley are so nice to their little patients and they took such great care in making sure Dawson was happy. They even let him take his beloved Copper with him (and he got an I.V. & band-aid too). The surgery was over in 35 minutes and then it took Dawson another hour or so to wake up from the anesthesia. After we got him home, my mom was there to help us and take care of Carter...thank goodness! Dawson spent most of the day sleeping and keeping a cold wet wash cloth on his eyes. Today he is doing AWESOME- running around and playing with his new Zhu-Zhu pet. We won't know for a few weeks if the surgery was successful, so until we know- lots of prayers and hoping is all we can do.
