Christmas morning!

Christmas was quite the experience this year! Dawson has been BEGGING for a puppy since before Halloween and we've just been feeling terrible for him. Jason swore from day one that we would probably NEVER own a dog- which was heartbreaking for me, because we always had a dog growing up. Well, over the last few weeks, Dawson has been saying he was going to ask Santa Clause for a dog because he bring everything you ask for...well, low and behold, this morning his dream came true and we are now the happy owners of a little Morkie (pure bread mix of a Maltese & Yorkie.) His name is Dash and he is the sweetest little thing ever! We've had a fun day holding him and playing with him...and making sure accidents don't happen.
Carter likes to watch Food Network with me and LOVES to cook on the grill with Daddy. So it wasn't totally shocking when he asked for a kitchen. He also asked Santa for "a bucket of cars." He got a huge carrying case full of 50 hot wheels and a sweet kitchen- grill included! He has made lots of pretend hot dogs and hamburgers today!
Our families spoiled us. End of story. We are so blessed and we love our parents for being so great to us and our kids. From the Evil Doctor Porkchop, clothes, toys and lots of hugs and kisses, we are lucky and fortunate people. We are so thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and this time of year that we have to reflect on the blessings and joys of this life. Thank you family (and friends) for all the fun, gifts and love!

HO HO Night

In the grand tradtion of the Holidays- we ventured to Price again for the Neeley Christmas party a.k.a "HO HO Night." Grandma N. has some serious connections with the Man from the North Pole...so he stopped by for a visit. Carter fell asleep moments before he arrived, but woke up and was ready to get on Santa's lap if it meant he got a candy cane! He told Santa he wanted a bucket of cars and trucks, that was all. Dawson wrote Santa a very special little note and it read "Santa, will you please bring me a black puppy.- Dawson." (Well, shucks. What else do you want?) He then told him he wanted Evil Doctor Porkchop and a globe. They had a good time and got to open Christmas pj's.

On Saturday, the 18th, we were fortunate enough to join in the celebration for Jason's Grandparents 60th Wedding Anniversary. WHAT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT! It was a very nice open house in Castle Dale and we got to visit with some of his aunts & uncles from out of state. We had a fun converstation on the way home of what we might be like in 53 more years...we both concluded that if we could be half as good as Elwin & Juanita- then we will be blessed and happy people! What cute love birds they still are!

Our little Wiseman

This is Dawson in the Ward Christmas party Nativity. He was selected to be a Wiseman. He of course said, "I got to be a Wiseman because I'm smart, huh Mom." Too CUTE.

Disneyland 2010

We found ourselves in the park again this year. No lines. Awesome weather. It was THE BEST! Here are some pics of the fun...
Carter was a little shy around Mickey. I think the realization that one of his weekday morning heroes standing right in front of him, was a lot for this new 3 year old.
The boys outside the gates of the Haunted Mansion- or as Dawson calls it,
"The Nightmare for Christmas." The entire ride is re-done for the holidays...spooky yet Christmas filled.
Carters first Disneyland Churro. He loved it.
They got to talk to the REAL Santa. He was visiting Disneyland too, while on vacation...
Dawson said, "He has to get home and make our toys!"
His first set of ears. His name is on the back. And he loved them.
Dawson putting on his official Jedi Training Robe. He wanted to take it home so bad...
Hanging out in Donald Duck's house. Carter LOVES Donald. Must be because 2 of his Great-Grandpas are named Donald...that's the only explanation we can give you.
The boys were eyeing these lollipops all week. We finally gave in...Dawson's broke shortly after this picture was taken. Carter didn't like that it was turning his tongue blue and wouldn't eat it after that. So much for that $9.99. Oh kids...
My parents spent one day with us, having fun and putting up with Carter's moods. (perfectly displayed in this lovely picture) My Dad was such a good sport and my mom got emotional just like me, when we first walked onto Main street.
