Another exciting year for the Miss Utah board! Christina made the top 15!! We couldn't have jumped up and down any higher when they called her name- it was a great moment! The week started out with me, my mom, Tiare and her mom- with our special guest, Jeanette Morelan, Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2010 staying in one big condo! There was plenty of girl talk, ice cream and giggles...and of course shopping! On Thursday, Jason and my dad met up with us and brought THE BOYS! It was so much fun to see their excitement staying in such a huge place and they loved it! They went to Circus Circus on Thursday evening and called it the "silly place" they were in heaven with all of the toys and games to play and win.

On Friday we had a few items on our agenda- The Miss America "Show Me Your Shoes Parade" where all 53 contestants walked and showed off their shoes and costumes- (they hold their designed shoe)
Just before the show parade, we had a couple of hours to spend with the boys. We took them to The Mandaly Bay Resort to see the Shark Reef. It was really interesting and they had fish and sharks that I'd never even heard of or ever seen, for that matter. The boys ran from exhibit to exhibit- pointing and asking questions. Who says you can't have good, clean, AND educational fun in Las Vegas??

After the Reef and Shoe Parade, we took the boys to M&M World. They loved every single second of that place (who doesn't?) We ran into some friends from Price (Hey, Ady!) and watched the 3D movie before picking out our treats. The boys didn't want to leave as you can well imagine, but after visiting the wall of color and each getting their own custom assortment, they wanted to eat lunch so they could indulge in their "Meminems."
On Saturday night, after the pageant we got to meet with Christina one more time. She was so happy and excited for the new Miss America. She had an incredible week and made Utah proud! We brought her some red, white and blue M&M's and she was SO READY for some chocolate! We mingled with our friends from Utah and a few other states and by nights end- we were ready for a good nights sleep and NO more heels!
