Then on Thursday, we woke up early and stayed up late... It was the Rasmussen's turn for Turkey Day and we started the day off right- good breakfast, crafts, cupcakes and games. The "men" stayed in the basement mostly and played NBA Jams and the "women folk" stayed upstairs and made these...
Stuffed Turkey Cupcakes.
Yup.
We also decorated awesome Christmas wreaths and then got dinner going. Dinner was very good- compliments to Kaye my mother-in-law and everyone else who contributed to the feast. After dinner and the post turkey coma's started to set in, we gathered around the table for a few rounds of cards & games before gearing up for...dare I say it...Walmart at MIDNIGHT.
I've never been a Black Friday enthusiast, but decided to go against my better judgement to fight off my old high school classmates for $4 pajamas. It literally was like a high school reunion at the Price Walmart, some were sober, most were not. HILARIOUS.
After getting to bed early this morning, we woke up just a few hours later to venture to Castle Dale, Utah were Jason's grandparents live. We love going to their home and visiting with them. Grandpa Rasmussen is a collector of vintage Model A Ford cars and FOR ONCE let everyone who wanted to- take these beauties out for a little cruise around the block. It was quite the opportunity considering how protective Elwin is with these incredible cars. This one is a 1928 Model A. SO FUN!
We returned home this evening, unpacked and started prepping for the annual trip to Disneyland. Laundry has been started, snacks are being made and mommy and daddy are praying for nerves of steel. :D
Happy Thanksgiving!
