SO- Here is the update for "D-man." His surgery is scheduled for May 6th. We are really anxious/happy/bewildered and all because we've never done anything like this! It's not every day we send our 3 year old for EYE surgery. The surgery nurse talked to me a lot about the side effects and what to be prepared for. He told me not to worry (yeah, right) the surgery is typically very low risk and he should feel like normal within 48 hours. I know he will be okay, but I my bad dreams don't help my nerves. He is a little champ though. He pretty much adapts to any situation he is put in with very little complaint. I am amazed at his determination sometimes. Of course he is only 3 and there is the daily whining and tiny tantrums, but for the most part- Dawson is an awesome little boy. I hope and pray the procedure will be simple and easy and we can get back into the groove of things without complications! He has taken up a recent interest in drawing and is actually really good at it! He is the loudest singer in his Sunbeam class and loves to sing with me. He is definitely more my blood than Jason's.
And "Bug-Bug." Oh my goodness! That would pretty much sum him up. I definitely know that he was sent here to teach us a few things. Carter is a 9.9 on the Richter scale. If you don't believe me, come and spend an hour with him. Not 15 minutes go by without something being pulled out of a drawer, watches being put in the garbage, markers coloring on the walls, water being poured on the floor or Dawson being tormented. I was definitely spoiled with Dawson. However, with all of the crazy things Carter does, he is such a fun baby. For every 10 naughty things he does, I at least laugh at 4 of them, which on any given day- isn't too bad. He will be graduating from the crib pretty soon and I'm sure the lack of naps while adjusts will be just wonderful. He pretty much has 2 speeds- run and sleep. He is most definitely more Jason's blood than mine. Just the other day Jason was holding Carter and he looked into those piercing blue little eyes and said "There is just pure mischief in those eyes." Hmmm. Sounds like something I still would say about Jason's pretty peepers.Like father like son, so they say.
All in all. Life is good. Keep the love growing and the smiles showing and things will always be alright.

Sounds like everything that life is going well at the moment. Glad to hear it. And good luck on his surgery. I am positive that it will be spectacular. And those pictures are sooo cute! How time flies. They are getting so big wow!

Hey my littlest one is getting eye surgery too! Also our first time. What is yours for? Hers is to open a blocked tear duct which she's had since she was born! Poor kids. Good luck!
Oh the fun of boys - I guess. :) My Camryn can give the older two a run for their money, but I hear there is just something about boys. Good luck with the surgery, I'm sure it will turn out great, but I think worrying is part of the procedure.
